The Vril Society logo is a hoax

There seems to be a bit of mythmaking going on in the Vril-sphere (I don't want to call it the Vril-flat just yet!)
In recent years the Maria Orsic hoax has gained traction, combined with some weird stuff involving Aldebaran. Also, this symbol is often seen:
This symbol never existed on the internet before 2007 and more than likely came from Echoes of Enoch. The makers of IRON SKY 2 seem to have fallen for this hoax as they've incorporated the symbol as part of their mythology.
I don't like this muddying of waters, as it really turns history into a mishmash. A lot of web sites put up made-up information and it just becomes this odd shared fictional universe. One common mistake is getting the Vril Society and the Thule Society mixed up.
