Oh boy...I had no idea Dr. Eric Berg was into this stuff.

I follow Dr. Berg's diet but only today I found out that he was into this Eckankar-ish stuff.

"The Bergs have ponied up $500,000 to the IAS in order to be named Silver Meritorious. And again, that’s not counting what they’ve spent for courses, costs, or other donations to Scientology causes, including donations to any future Ideal Org."

Okay, I need to switch to supplements from a different company then.

I don't know if his diet is pseudoscience, because it's actually working for me and a number of people on the internet. But I don't want "those people over there" anywhere near stuff I ingest.

It's not their beliefs that bother me, it's all the suing and mind control.

Wigmore was a true believer. She sold people wheatgrass seeds to grow their own wheatgrass in trays and run thru an expensive wheatgrass juicer every morning. I remember in the 80s and 90s all the MLM companies were selling green powder drinks. When tested they were very low in nutrients but not low in price.

If you are doing okay on it then it's fine. One scoop a day is all you need. 1000 mgs of potassium is plenty. That U.S. RDA of 4700 mgs of potassium is bogus. That was forced by doctors for alleged benefit on blood pressure to compensate for high sodium diets. The true RDA for potassium is 2300 - 3300 mgs. There is a range because that is best guess by scientists. If you eat 10 grams of food potassium within 24 hours your kidney will urinate out 8 grams and one gram excreted in the stool, and trace amounts in sweat. So you only need a 1000 mgs extra. Remember on the old diuretics they said eat a banana a day which was 500 mgs.
